Basara (basara.ca) is operated by Neso Basara, a real estate agent with RE/MAX Icon Realty, Brokerage, in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian law.

What we collect

• Account information. When you create an account with an email and password, we store your name and email address. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use this information only to create and operate your account. We do not sell it or share it for advertising.
• Form submissions. When you use the contact form, request a home valuation, or inquire about a listing, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email, phone number, and information about the property.
• Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, general location, device type). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
• Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and Google Analytics cookies for the usage data described above.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiries and valuation requests.
• To operate account features such as saved properties, watchlists, and access to sold data.
• To follow up on real estate matters you have asked about, as part of Neso Basara's work as a licensed real estate agent.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the site.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the site: Google (sign-in and analytics), Cloudflare (spam protection on forms), Resend (email delivery), and DigitalOcean (hosting). Inquiries about buying or selling a property are handled under RE/MAX Icon Realty, Brokerage, as required of a licensed agent in Ontario.

Retention and your rights

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To make a request, reach out through our contact page. You can also delete your account at any time by asking us.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Questions about privacy are always welcome through the contact page.
