Data Sources

• MLS® transaction records: sold, active, and cancelled listings for Waterloo Region, ingested daily. Historical sales coverage begins in 2016 for Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, and 2024 for the townships.
• Neighbourhood boundaries: polygon geometries assembled from municipal open data, used to assign each transaction to a neighbourhood by location.

Statistics are computed by Basara and may differ from figures published by real-estate boards, which use different time windows, geographic boundaries, and inclusion rules. See our methodology for exact definitions.
